Job Description

· Heights area (near the Target on Shearn in the Heights) - central Houston

First shift details:

· Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

· Project - long term indefinite

· $17.00/hr

· They offer OT during busy season but need pre-approval first

· Start ASAP

· Background check required

· No facial piercings or facial tattoos

· Must be okay with standing and moving frequently; being on their feet

Second shift details:

· Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - midnight

· Project - long term indefinite

· $17.50/hr

· They offer OT during busy season but need pre-approval first

· 1 in person interview and they interview will be 3:30pm or later

· Start ASAP

· Background check required

· No facial piercings or facial tattoos

· Must be okay with standing and moving frequently; being on their feet

Production environment but great supervisors; everyone always compliments how nice management is

Dress code: Casual - jeans, shirts, blouses, hoodies, etc. No ripped jeans

· Closed toed shoes REQUIRED daily

Must feel comfortable being on their feet most of the day - standing, moving, up & down, etc.

Must be able to pass a background check

Must be able to read a computer screen and sometimes review fine print

Duties:

Although they are titled as Scanners, these positions are considered floaters and will rotate many stations throughout the day. I have highlighted what those stations are below:

· Scanner: Scanning pages of books into the machine to ensure everything copies correctly

· Trimmer: Putting book into the machine to put the bind off of the book

· Wrapper: Wrapping a piece of paper around the book with a rubber band and documenting the correct bar code number

· Sorter: Sorting books by quality, genre, length, etc.
